Prairie Scene is delighted to host a very special event in honour of an exceptional Canadian theatre luminary, Roland Mahé, Artistic Director of Winnipeg’s Le Cercle Molière. Join us in a joyous celebration of the remarkable life and career of a man whose passion and inventive vision have helped to shape contemporary French language theatre in Canada.
Roland Mahé is considered among the most influential French language theatre professionals in Canada with a career spanning a remarkable 40-plus years as the Artistic Director of Canada’s oldest, continuously producing theatre company. Beloved by his peers and by subsequent generations of theatre practitioners working in both French and English, Mahé’s creative stamp is indelibly imprinted on the francophone culture of Manitoba, and indeed Canada.
