Step back in time and discover the history of the Prairies at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Canada Hall includes a re-creation of an iconic grain elevator in Melville, Saskatchewan and exhibitions on farm life and the founding of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Have a lively interactive theatre experience with a member of Dramamuse, the Museum’s theatre company. Share your own triumphs and woes with grain elevator agent Louis Fortin. He has a tale or two about drought, gophers and grasshoppers, and it won’t take much to get him going about politics – especially if you don’t agree with him!

The immigrant experience in Winnipeg during the first half of the 20th century is explored with authentic storefronts and profiles of the Czech and Ukrainian immigrants who founded them.
