QUELLE DÉRIVE... attempts to pinpoint the psychogeography of Winnipeg’s past, present and future. In this roaming but concise exploration, curator J. J. Kegan McFadden has brought together artists working in audio installation, drawing, performance, photography, and sculpture using hi and lo tech applications to reveal the profundities Winnipeg has to offer. The map that leads us from one artist to the next is located in the pages of the magazine Border Crossings, available internationally, and which has dedicated itself to writing about art from Winnipeg for nearly 30 years.
